29th Annual Fabulous 4th Bike Tour

I would like to take the opportunity to welcome you to Tryon, the town that is known as the friendliest town in the south.  I have been fortunate enough to live here most of my life and be able to train on the beautiful course that we will share with all of you this July 4, 2012. This ride has continued on for so many years because of the dedicated efforts of many people in our community, especially Robin Michael who single-handedly managed the event for 23 years. What makes our ride special is 100% of our proceeds go to local charities. Each registered rider is helping us make a difference in our small rural community. What we lack in infrastructure we make up for with miles and miles of open roads to share.

We have planned your ride with safety in mind, from the intersections staffed by local officers to the small turns where we have volunteers. We have the HAM radio club cruising the course to check on you, aid stations ready to serve you and a meal to fill you up with when you are done. 

The Fabulous 4th Bike Tour is the principal fundraiser for the Rotary Club of Tryon. The ride is made possible through the support of the Rotarians and our many sponsors.
